True Connection Policy

Effective Date: March, 2026

<Terms of Service>

**1. Introduction**

Welcome to True Connection, a service that helps users form meaningful connections through long‑form profiles (“Books”), community questions (“Garden”), offline events (“Picnic”), and other features. By accessing or using the True Connection app (collectively, the Service), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). These Terms form a legally binding contract between you and the operator of the True Connection Service (the Company). They describe the rules for using the Service, including acceptable behaviour and important limitations. Having clear Terms is not legally mandatory, but it is considered a best practice because it lets you set out rules and guidelines for users[1]. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

**2. Eligibility and Account Registration**

1. Age and legal capacity. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to create an account. True Connection is not intended for minors, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 in compliance with laws like COPPA[2]. By using the Service you represent and warrant that you are legally capable of entering into a contract.
2. Accurate information. You agree to provide truthful, accurate and complete information when creating an account and to keep it up to date. You may not create an account using a false identity or on behalf of another person.
3. Account security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
4. One account per user. Each person may create only one account. You may not sell, transfer or share your account with anyone else.

**3. Acceptable and Prohibited Uses**

To foster a safe environment, users must adhere to the following guidelines:

• Respectful behaviour. Be kind and considerate in your interactions. Do not harass, threaten, stalk or defame others. True Date exists to encourage meaningful connections, not harassment.

• Content standards. You may post your own text, photos and comments (collectively “User Content”). You must ensure that your User Content is lawful, non‑offensive, and does not contain hate speech, nudity, sexual content, private personal data of others, or any unlawful material. You are solely responsible for the content you post.

• No illegal or harmful activities. You may not use the Service to engage in or promote illegal activities, solicit personal financial information, transmit spam, malware or viruses, or otherwise harm the Service or its users.

• No impersonation or misrepresentation. You may not impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity. Do not provide misleading or deceptive information in your Book, Garden posts or any other interaction.

• Offline safety. When attending Picnic events or meeting other users in person, use caution and common sense. The Company does not perform background checks on users and cannot guarantee that user representations are accurate. You assume all risk associated with offline interactions.

We reserve the right to remove content or terminate accounts if these rules are violated[1].

**4. User Content and License**

1. Ownership. You retain ownership of any User Content you post on the Service. However, by posting User Content you grant the Company a worldwide, non‑exclusive, royalty‑free license to host, store, reproduce, modify, display, and distribute your content solely for the purposes of operating, improving and promoting the Service. This license continues even after you remove your User Content or delete your account.
2. Responsibility. You acknowledge that others may view and share your User Content. You are solely responsible for any consequences arising from your content and agree not to upload anything you do not have the right to share. We may remove or edit User Content that violates these Terms or applicable law.

**5. Payments and Subscriptions**

1. Picnic payments. Some features of the Service (such as hosting Picnic events) require payment. When you make a purchase, you authorize us to charge your chosen payment method through a third‑party payment processor. We do not store full payment card details. All fees are non‑refundable unless required by law. Prices may change at any time, and any changes will be communicated before you make a purchase.
2. Third‑party processors. Payments are processed by third‑party payment providers. Your payment information is subject to their privacy policies. We are not responsible for errors or losses arising from the actions of payment processors.

**6. Matching, Hearts and Community Features**
1. Hearts and matches. Sending a Good Review heart indicates interest but does not guarantee a response or match. Light hearts in Garden posts simply express appreciation for the written answer. You may send a limited number of hearts per day. Hearts have no cash value.
2. Community discussions. Garden answers are visible without showing the responder’s full profile. Comments on Picnic events are viewable by event participants. Please respect privacy and do not share other users’ content outside the Service without permission.
3. No guarantee of relationships. The Service facilitates introductions but does not promise successful relationships or events. You use the Service at your own risk.

**7. Dispute Resolution and Safety**
1. Reporting misconduct. If you feel threatened or believe another user has violated these Terms, please report them using the in‑app reporting tools or by contacting support.
2. Offline events. The Company is not a party to Picnic events and does not supervise them. Hosts are responsible for managing their events. We do not verify attendees’ backgrounds or guarantee their conduct. Exercise caution and meet in public places.

**8. Suspension and Termination**
We may suspend or terminate your account without notice if you violate these Terms, engage in behaviour that harms the Service or its users, or if we determine your use of the Service is inappropriate. You may delete your account at any time via the settings page. Upon termination, certain provisions of these Terms will remain in effect, including those concerning User Content licensing, limitations of liability, and dispute resolution[1].

**9. Intellectual Property**

The Company owns the Service and its content, including the name “True Connection,” logos, trademarks, software code, and visual design. These materials are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify or distribute any part of the Service without our permission, except your own User Content.

**10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability**

1. “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE.” The Service is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis. We make no warranties or guarantees regarding the availability, reliability or accuracy of the Service. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we expressly disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non‑infringement[1].
2. Limitation of liability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use or goodwill. In no event shall our aggregate liability exceed the amount you have paid to use the Service in the past twelve months (if any).
3. No professional advice. True Date does not provide legal, medical or psychological advice. Any information or guidance available on the Service is for general informational purposes only.

**11. Indemnity**

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless the Company, its affiliates, directors, employees, and agents from and against all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs or debt, and expenses (including attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms or any applicable law, or your infringement of any third‑party rights.

**12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution**

These Terms and any disputes arising out of or relating to them will be governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising between you and the Company shall first be attempted to be resolved amicably. If a dispute cannot be resolved, you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Seoul, South Korea. Some jurisdictions may not permit the choice of law or venue; if you reside in such a jurisdiction, local laws may apply.

**13. Changes to the Terms**
We may modify these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the Service or via email. Updated Terms will be effective as of the “Last Updated” date at the top of this document. By continuing to use the Service after changes are posted, you agree to the revised Terms.

**14. Contact Information**
If you have questions about these Terms, please contact us at dreampencil@everblossomvalues.com.

<Privacy Policy>

**1. Introduction**

This Privacy Policy explains how True Connection collects, uses, stores and shares your personal information when you use our Service. Having a clear privacy policy is not only a regulatory requirement under laws like the GDPR and CCPA but also a key way of demonstrating our ethical responsibility to users[3]. The policy describes the types of data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and your choices regarding your information[4]. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in this policy.

**2. Data We Collect**

We collect the following categories of information:
1. Registration and account data. When you create an account, we collect your email address and a password (stored as a secure hash). We may also ask you for demographic information such as age and gender.
2. Profile (Book) information. To complete your Book, you provide text responses (e.g., preface, values, relationship goals), information about your gender identity and preferences, age range, location (city or country), occupation, religion or spirituality, and other personal descriptors. You may also upload photographs. The first photo is mandatory to use the Library feature.
3. Garden posts and comments. If you answer Garden questions, we collect your written responses and any comments you leave on Picnic events.
4. Interactions and usage data. We record information about how you use the Service, such as the Books you view, hearts you send or receive, matches, messages exchanged, features used, and the time, date and duration of your sessions. We may collect device information (type of device, operating system), IP address, and usage logs for analytics[5].
5. Payment information. When you purchase Picnic features or other paid services, our payment processor collects your payment card details and billing information. We only receive a tokenized reference and basic transaction details (e.g., the last four digits of your card, payment amount, time and date). We do not store your full payment information.
6. Cookies and tracking technologies. The Service uses cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences, authenticate your sessions, and collect aggregated analytics about how the Service is used. You can adjust cookie settings in your browser, but disabling cookies may affect functionality.
7. Communications. If you contact us (for example, by email or support form), we collect your name, email address and the content of your communication.
We collect information that you provide directly as well as information collected automatically through your use of the Service. We only collect data that is necessary to provide and improve our services[6].

**3. How We Use Your Data**

We use your information for the following purposes:
• Providing the Service. To create and manage your account; deliver features such as Book creation, Library browsing, Garden posting, Picnic events, Hearts, Chat and My Day; and process transactions.

• Matching and recommendations. To suggest potential connections based on your Book, preferences and interactions, and to facilitate hearts, matches and messages.

• Communications. To send you administrative messages (e.g., account confirmation, password reset, service updates) and marketing communications (if you opt‑in). You can opt out of marketing messages at any time.

• Analytics and improvements. To analyse usage trends, measure engagement, improve existing features and develop new features. We may use aggregated, anonymised data for research and analysis.

• Safety and security. To monitor and enforce compliance with our Terms, detect and prevent fraud, spam, abuse or other harmful activities, and protect the safety of users. We may use automated systems to moderate content and detect suspicious behaviour.

• Legal compliance. To comply with applicable laws, court orders or other legal processes and to respond to lawful requests from authorities.

We will not use your data for purposes that are incompatible with those described in this policy without notifying you and obtaining your consent where required by law.

**4. Legal Basis for Processing**

Our legal bases for processing your information include:

• Contract. We process your data to provide the Service and perform our contract with you.

• Consent. We rely on your consent to process optional or sensitive information (e.g., religious beliefs, sexual preferences) and for sending marketing messages. You may withdraw your consent at any time.

• Legitimate interests. We process data to improve the Service, ensure security and prevent fraud, provided our interests are not overridden by your fundamental rights and freedoms.

• Legal obligations. We may process information to comply with legal obligations or respond to lawful requests.

**5. Sharing and Disclosure of Information**

We share information only as described below:

1. With other users. Your Book content (including preface, answers, environment information and photos) is visible to other users within the Library after they have read the full Book. Garden posts are visible without your full profile. Other users may see your username (e.g., Book number or Flower number), Good Review hearts or Light hearts and may send you hearts or messages.

2. Picnic event participants. If you host or join a Picnic event, the event title, date and comments are visible to participants. Host contact information is not shared automatically; you choose what to disclose in the event description or comments.
3. Service providers. We use third‑party vendors to host our servers, manage customer support, analyse usage, process payments and provide other business services. These providers process your data on our behalf and are contractually obligated to safeguard it.

4. Legal and safety reasons. We may disclose your information if required by law, in response to a legal process, or to protect the rights, property or safety of the Company, our users or others. This may include sharing information with law enforcement or other authorities.

5. Business transfers. If the Company is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of such a transfer and any changes to this policy.

6. Aggregated or de‑identified data. We may share aggregated, anonymised information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you for research, analytics or marketing purposes.
We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.

**6. Data Storage, Security and Retention**

We take reasonable and appropriate measures to protect your data. This includes encryption of sensitive information, access controls, secure servers and regular security reviews[8]. While we strive to protect your information, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure; therefore we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We retain your information as long as necessary to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. If you delete your account, we will remove or anonymise your personal information, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., prevention of fraud). We may retain de‑identified information indefinitely.

**7. Your Rights and Choices**

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the following rights:

• Access. You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.

• Correction. You can request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data.

• Deletion. You can request that we delete your data. We may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate purposes.

• Objection. You can object to our processing of your data on the basis of legitimate interests.

• Restriction. You can ask us to restrict the processing of your data in certain circumstances.

• Portability. You can request that we provide your data in a structured, commonly used and machine‑readable format.

• Withdraw consent. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.
To exercise these rights, please contact us at dreampencil@everblossomvalues.com. We may require proof of identity before responding to your request. We will respond within the time frames required by law.

**8. International Transfers**

True Connection may store and process information on servers located in countries outside of your own. We take steps to ensure that cross‑border data transfers comply with applicable data protection laws, such as by using standard contractual clauses or other safeguards.

**9. Children's Privacy**

True Connection is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete that information. If you are a parent or guardian and you believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

**10. Changes to this Privacy Policy**

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements or technological developments. The “Last Updated” date at the top of this document indicates when this policy was last revised. If we make material changes, we will provide notice within the Service or by email. Your continued use of the Service after the revised policy becomes effective constitutes your acceptance.

**11. Contact Us**
